Your baby’s first days are full of little moments you never want to forget, the sleepy stretches, tiny hands, first snuggles and the way your family settles into this brand-new chapter.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are designed to preserve those moments in a natural, relaxed way. Instead of elaborate posing or styled setups, the focus is on connection, emotion and your family just as you are.
Choose a Fresh 48 session at the hospital or an in-home newborn session during your baby’s first few weeks.
Fresh 48 sessions take place during the first day or two after your baby arrives, while you’re still at the hospital.
These sessions are relaxed and documentary-style, capturing the little details and first moments that disappear almost immediately—the hospital bracelet, bassinet, tiny toes, sleepy snuggles and the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms.
There’s no elaborate posing and no pressure to have everything perfect. I’ll gently guide you when needed while allowing the session to unfold naturally.
In-home newborn sessions are photographed in the comfort of your own home during your baby’s first few weeks.
These sessions are perfect for families who want relaxed, meaningful photographs without leaving home. We’ll use the spaces where your everyday memories are already happening—the nursery, your bedroom, the couch or wherever your family naturally spends time together.
The focus is on connection rather than perfectly posed images. I’ll gently guide you throughout the session while leaving plenty of room for snuggles, feeding breaks and all the little moments that make this season yours.
A $100 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session and is applied toward the package of your choice.
After your session, you’ll receive a proof gallery to select your favorite images. Your selections will receive their final edits and be delivered in a downloadable online gallery.

Lifestyle newborn sessions focus on natural interactions and connection. They take place in the hospital or your home and use your surroundings as part of your baby’s story.
Studio newborn sessions take place in my Manhattan studio and include carefully styled setups, wraps, outfits, props and guided newborn posing.
Both preserve those fleeting newborn days—they simply offer two very different experiences.

I recommend reserving your session during your second or third trimester.
Because babies arrive on their own schedule, I’ll reserve space around your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll coordinate the actual session date based on whether you’ve booked a Fresh 48 or in-home newborn session.
I accept a limited number of lifestyle newborn sessions each month so I can remain flexible when babies arrive earlier or later than expected.
Newborn sessions are ideally scheduled within the first two weeks after birth. During this time, babies tend to be sleepier and naturally curl into those sweet newborn poses. Once your baby arrives, just let me know and we'll choose your session date.
You don't need to know your baby's birthday to book! I'll reserve space on my calendar around your due date. Once your baby arrives, you'll contact me and we'll choose the actual session date within those first couple of weeks.
Fresh 48: typically during the first 24–48 hours after birth, depending on hospital stay and availability.
In-home: usually within the first two to four weeks after birth.
Absolutely not. Your home does not need to look perfect for an in-home newborn session.
We’ll usually work in just one or two areas with the best natural light, and I’ll help move or simplify anything distracting if needed. Your home is part of your family’s story—it doesn’t need to look like a magazine.
Soft neutrals, solid colors and comfortable fabrics photograph beautifully for lifestyle newborn sessions.
I recommend coordinating rather than matching and avoiding large logos or busy patterns. Once you’re booked, I’m happy to help with outfit choices so everything feels cohesive without looking overly styled.
Hospital visitor and photography policies can vary. I recommend checking with your hospital ahead of time to make sure outside photographers and sibling visitors are allowed.
If hospital restrictions prevent the session from taking place, we can discuss moving your session to an in-home newborn experience instead.
That’s completely normal.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are intentionally relaxed and baby-led. We’ll pause whenever your baby needs to eat, be changed, soothed or snuggled. There’s no expectation for your baby to sleep the entire time.
I'll send you a detailed prep guide before your session with tips to help baby arrive sleepy and ready for photos. But don't worry if your baby has other plans! We'll take our time with feeding, soothing and breaks as needed and follow your baby's cues throughout the session.
Absolutely, when it’s safe and comfortable for everyone involved. Pets are part of the family too, and in-home sessions are a wonderful opportunity to include them naturally.
I typically try to deliver proof galleries within one week of shooting. Once you make your final selections I will make final edits and deliver the final gallery within 1 week.
Your baby’s safety and comfort always come first. I have years of experience photographing newborns and have trained specifically in newborn posing and safety. I’ll carefully support and pose your baby while watching their cues throughout the session, and we’ll always take breaks for feeding, soothing or snuggles whenever needed.
No photograph is ever more important than your baby’s comfort and well-being.
Professional prints and products are available directly through your online gallery, making it easy to turn your favorite newborn photographs into artwork you'll enjoy in your home for years to come.
Purchasing prints directly from a photographer often guarantees high-quality paper, color accuracy, and careful image processing, ensuring the best possible presentation of your photos.
Printed photos provide a physical representation of special moments that you can touch and interact with, enhancing the emotional connection to the memory. Unlike digital files which can be lost due to technology issues, printed photos offer a long-lasting way to preserve your memories.
Prints can be framed and displayed around your home to personalize your space and showcase your favorite moments.
