Family photos are about more than everyone looking at the camera and smiling. They’re about capturing the personalities, connections and little moments that make your family yours.
I’ll help with everything from choosing outfits to finding the perfect location, and during your session I’ll guide you through a mix of posed and relaxed moments. My goal is to make the experience easy and enjoyable while creating photographs you’ll love now and treasure even more as the years go by.

Pricing & Packages
A $100 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date and is applied toward the package of your choice. Family packages begin at $300.
After your session, you’ll receive a proof gallery to select your favorite images. Once you’ve made your selections, I’ll complete the final edits and deliver your finished images in a downloadable online gallery. Professional prints and products will also be available to order directly through your gallery, making it easy to enjoy your favorite images beyond the screen.

Extended Family
Yes, I photograph extended families too! These sessions are perfect for bringing grandparents, grown siblings, cousins and everyone in between together for updated family photos.
We’ll capture the entire group along with smaller family groupings and other combinations that are important to you. Because extended family sessions include more people and groupings, they require the Deluxe Portrait Session, giving us plenty of time and images to capture everyone.

Want a little pampering before your family session? Professional makeup can be added to your session and takes place at the studio before we head out for photos. It’s an easy way to relax, get pampered and feel confident before stepping in front of the camera.

What should we wear?
Choose outfits that coordinate without matching exactly. Neutrals, earth tones and soft colors photograph beautifully, but most importantly, choose clothing that feels like you. Once you're booked, I'm happy to help with outfit choices so everything comes together beautifully.
Do you have a client closet?
Yes! I have a collection of dresses available in a range of sizes. I'm happy to help you find an option that works beautifully with your family's wardrobe and the look you're envisioning.
Do you offer makeup services?
Yes! Professional makeup can be added to your family session and takes place at the studio before we head out for photos. Plan for approximately 30–45 minutes for makeup before your session begins.
Where will we take our family photos?
We'll choose your location together based on your family, wardrobe and the look you want for your photos. I have several favorite locations around the Manhattan area and will help you choose one that's the perfect fit. Weather conditions may also play a role in choosing the best location for your session.
What if it rains or someone gets sick?
Kansas weather can be unpredictable! If rain, high winds or extreme temperatures make an outdoor session less than ideal, we'll reschedule. The same goes for illness—I'd much rather wait until everyone is feeling their best. Weather and illness-related rescheduling is allowed at no additional charge when the new session takes place within four weeks of the original date.
Can we bring our family pet?
Yes! Pets are family too. We will just need to choose our location accordingly as some parks and trails do not allow pets.
What time of day is best for photos?
Outdoor family sessions are typically scheduled during golden hour—the beautiful, soft light just before sunset. Session times change throughout the year based on sunset, so summer sessions can sometimes start later in the evening.
What is turnaround time on images?
Proof galleries are typically delivered within 1–2 weeks of your session. Once you’ve selected your favorite images, I’ll complete the final edits and deliver your finished gallery within one week.
How soon in advance should I book my session?
I recommend booking as early as possible, especially if you're hoping for a fall session. I accept a limited number of sessions each week and only a few weekend sessions each month, so popular dates can fill quickly.
How long do sessions last?
Most family sessions last approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on the family and how quickly we get everything we need.
