FAQ

When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?

I recommend booking your maternity session around 30-34 weeks. This will also depend on how you’re feeling, and how big belly is. Some prefer doing it sooner, or even later, than the suggested time frame.

What should I wear?

I have several dresses available from my client closet. If you don't see something you like we can shop online together and swap ideas. Once you find the perfect dress we can coordinate your family's to go along with yours. Please avoid logos and distracting patterns.

My studio is filled with a selection of gowns that will make you look and feel fabulous! I also encourage you to bring a favorite loose fit sweater, jeans, lace underwear or anything else you feel beautiful when wearing.

Should I schedule professional hair and make-up?

I currently do not offer hair and make-up as part of my package but I do recommend it to look and feel your best for your session.

Where does my session take place?

For outdoor sessions I have a number of beautiful locations that I regularly shoot at.

What time of day is best for photos?

Outdoor sessions are best had during golden hour when the light is softest. This is around 1-2 hours before sunset. Exact times will vary at different times of the year and can be discussed when booking your session.

What is turnaround time on images?

I typically try to deliver proof galleries within one week of shooting. Once you make your final selections I will make final edits and deliver the final gallery within 1-2 weeks.

Can I include my spouse and family in my photos?

Yes! I do focus the majority of the session on mom alone, but we can absolutely incorporate your spouse and children into some of the images if requested! Having your family be a part of your session will allow me to create more family orientated images where they can show their love for your unborn baby. Intimate images of just yourself and your partner should also be considered.

Why you should buy prints from your photographer.

While I offer digital-only collections, I firmly believe in the transformative power of print. That is why I highly recommend purchasing prints and products from my professional lab. You can do this directly from your online gallery. There's a profound difference between viewing images on a screen and holding them in your hands. Printed artwork—whether an album or a stunning metal print—makes your memories tangible, tactile, and timeless. It adds a depth of emotion and significance that digital files simply can't replicate, transforming your photos into cherished heirlooms for generations to come. I want you to get the best quality for the investment you made on having photos taken by a professional.

Prints & Products

I. Professional Quality

Purchasing prints directly from a photographer often guarantees high-quality paper, color accuracy, and careful image processing, ensuring the best possible presentation of your photos.

II. Tangible Memories

Printed photos provide a physical representation of special moments that you can touch and interact with, enhancing the emotional connection to the memory. Unlike digital files which can be lost due to technology issues, printed photos offer a long-lasting way to preserve your memories.

III. Home Decor

Prints can be framed and displayed around your home to personalize your space and showcase your favorite moments.
