I had the absolute joy of photographing Anders for his first birthday session, and it was the perfect mix of simple, sweet, and full of smiles.
A Simple and Sweet Cake Smash
We kept Anders’ cake smash setup clean and classic — just a little white cake, a neutral wood backdrop, a few balloons for a pop of color and all the space he needed to dig in! Sometimes, less really is more, especially when you want the focus to stay right where it belongs: on that adorable birthday boy.
Anders wasted no time getting into his cake — tiny hands, frosting-covered toes, and the cutest little grins. It’s always so fun to watch how each child approaches their smash — and Anders gave us the perfect combination of curiosity, excitement, and happy messiness.
Ending with a Splash
After the cake fun, it was time for a quick clean-up — and what better way than a bath? Anders loved splashing around, chasing bubbles, and flashing the biggest smiles.
Bath sessions are such a sweet way to wrap up a one-year session — and they always give us the best natural giggles and genuine moments.
